
Singapore and Malaysia have agreed to strengthen their bilateral cooperation and to take advantage of opportunities in the digital and green economies. The two countries have also agreed to work closely on data protection and cyber security.
On Monday (30/1), Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim witnessed the signing of three agreements which cover these topics. This was Anwar’s first official visit to Singapore since he was sworn in as Malaysia’s 10th Prime Minister.
The two countries also held a meeting presided by Singapore’s President Halimah Yacob and Anwar, where they reaffirmed the strong partnership between Singapore and Malaysia.
