 “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”

Guohao strives to give in his best in everything he does. He started as a freelance writer at the young age of 14 and has served as a radio deejay, music director, journalist, columnist, communications manager, media relations officer, voiceover talent, producer and content analyst for various media platforms.

Guohao used to work at 96.3HaoFM, a Chinese radio station under SPH Radio as the station’s assistant music director. He was responsible for music and advertisements scheduling, ad-hoc show production and editing, as well as producing trailers and content support for the different time-belts.

The first two mega projects were the 10-week campaign “96.3HaoFM Good Chart” and the 20-episode radio drama “The Best of Us”. He was also responsible for the conceptualization of ideas to promote and disseminate relevant information to the various media platforms, such as the writing of press releases for maximum coverage and exposure for the mentioned events.

Guohao’s diverse media experience contributed to his strong conceptualisation and interpersonal skills. During his 9-year stint at UFM100.3 from the year 2011 to 2020 as a part-time Deejay cum producer, Guohao was often placed to interact with people. He was also constantly challenged to innovate new ideas for his radio programme.

Guohao’s warm, reassuring and friendly voice was frequently used for commercials, programme dubbing and voice-overs. You can also hear them over the radio, TV and corporate videos.

Having a sanguine passion for Chinese Media, Guohao first served as a student correspondent for Lianhe Zaobao. He then joined MediaCorp’s Interactive Media division as a content producer where he is responsible to produce news content and evaluate unsolicited manuscripts for publication for two years. He has also provided content for various media platforms in Singapore, which include Lianhe Zaobao, omy.sg, xin.sg, xinmsn.com, Capital95.8FM and 88.3Jia.

Guohao has also worked for the national terrestrial TV channel (MediaCorp Channel 8) as a Current Affairs Producer for their signature programme – Focus, to produce analytical news capsules which discuss hot international topics from a local perspective.

Guohao’s passion for journalism propels him to win numerous awards at the Lianhe Zaobao’s Student Correspondent Awards. He has clinched the “Best Featured News Article”, “Best Performance Award” and “Best Campus Story” awards in 2007, 2012, 2016, 2017 and 2018 respectively.

Guohao was an assistant manager for communication-related tasks in the year 2020 at a ministry in which he was responsible for conveying relevant information to the masses. He was also responsible for liaising with internal and external agencies for the dissemination of information.

In 2022, Guohao joined Workforce Singapore (WSG) as a media relations manager. He is responsible to conceptualise, develop and drive media plans for the statutory board. He’s also responsible for managing different stakeholders’ needs, handling related media queries (MQ), crafting talking points, and drafting media releases for publication. Guohao managed to secure more than 45 media reports/coverage in seven months.

Guohao used to attend lectures at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Nanyang Technological University. Being a scholar, Guohao was conferred the Ngee Ann Polytechnic-MDA Gold Medalist in 2013, with a graduating GPA of 3.96— straight A’s in his regular classes. He was also awarded the highest distinction bachelor’s degree, with a high CGPA of 4.57.

新加坡出生，以“金牌毕业生 (MDA Gold Medal)” 毕业于义安理工学院华文传媒系，并以一等荣誉学士学位，毕业于南洋理工大学中文系。国豪也是南洋理工大学的奖学金得主。2020年，他曾在一家科技公司担任数据分析员，随后成为一名公务员。2021年，他再次回到媒体的怀抱中，在新传媒时事节目组里担任节目编导，负责制作有关国内外局势的报道。

早从14岁开始，国豪已接触媒体。他曾服务过多个媒体单位，包括电台UFM100.3（担任节目主持）、电台96.3好FM（担任副音乐总监）、联合早报、早报逗号、omy.sg、新动网 xin.sg、xinmsn.com、Capital95.8城市频道和88.3Jia 等。

细腻的笔法和深入浅出的报道，让国豪分别在2007年、2012年、2016年、2017年和2018年获得由联合学生通讯员俱乐部颁发的“最佳专题报道”、“写作表现奖”，以及“最佳校园报道”等多个奖项。

除了媒体人的身份，国豪也曾是一名教育工作者，他分别在2013年、2016年和2022年在校园里和学生们分享他的经历。
